New maintenance workshop and Spidex web maintenance
Huntapac Produce Limited is a family owned business which was established in 1942 the business today is run by the founder’s grandsons Warren and Jason and their father William who still works daily fixing, designing and developing machinery to assist in our improvements and efficiencies.
Warren Hunter ( Managing Director ) gave his son William who also works within the business the task of putting together Mainsaver and the new maintenance workshop two of the companies projects in its ongoing developments.
Monday 31st January saw the launch of two major improvements in our continued development at Huntapac Produce, firstly Mainsaver this is a computerised software package that has been designed to control our maintenance requirements throughout the business, any works that are required are entered into Mainsaver and this is then picked up by the relevant person either our own maintenance staff or contractors, the work is then completed and all the relevant details are recorded such as parts used and time spent.
It has taken some 3 months to build Mainsaver for our requirements having to input over 800 items of equipment plus all their auxiliary parts and then finally train our staff and contractors on its use.
Secondly we have designed and built a new maintenance workshop allowing our maintenance staff to benefit from a much improved environment in which to carry out their varied task, we have stocked the workshop with a full range of tools, parts and subsidiary items such as nuts, bolts, washers and the like all of which were supplied by our local supplier William Moore & Son.
Marcus Moore (Director) & Derek McDermott (Sales Manager) were on site to officially open the workshop, Marcus Moore says it was a great honour to be invited to Huntapac to perform the opening of this new workshop, it is nice to see a valued customer and their facilities at first hand.
The workshop has been designed to meet the highest of health, safety and hygiene standards something of which we pride ourselves with at Huntapac. Another local supplier Protec Workwear has supplied all staff with a complete set of workwear and P.P.E. along with all the safety signs and labels.
Warren Hunter (Managing Director) “with both these improvements in place we hope to become more efficient and to benefit both our own staff and our clients who include all the major supermarkets”. “We should now be able to analysis data received through Mainsaver and implement any necessary changes to machinery / equipment required”.
