Huntapac receive a 'Merit' in the International Safety Award 2012
2012 was the year Huntapac Produce Ltd entered the BSC International Safety Awards for the first time, Health and Safety Manager Mr Colin Sigsworth decided that the company was ready for the challenge of prestigious awards.
Having been a member of the BSC for a number of years and benefiting from the numerous services offered the company was now in a much better position with its health, safety and welfare arrangements. Huntapac had invested heavily over the previous years to bring it up to and beyond in some cases the required standards.
The company’s workforce is one of its most valuable assets and maintaining the high level of health and safety throughout the business has resulted in significantly lower accident rates, along with new machinery and a strong commitment to training the business has seen many benefits.
Colin spent many valuable hours of his own time in preparing the safety awards application which was very intense at times, being our first time it was a completely new experience for Colin and the business and Mr Warren Hunter ( Managing Director ) gave the application his full support.
On the morning the results arrived the envelope was opened and with great delight Colin announced to the business we had received a Merit award which was an outstanding result.
Our business has taken great pride in the award and has mounted a plaque in the reception to ensure all the companies clients and visitors are fully aware of the company’s commitment to the health, safety and welfare of all.
