Goodwood Revival 2014
The Goodwood Revival is a three-day festival held each September at Goodwood Circuit since 1998 for the types of road racing cars and motorcycle that would have competed during the circuit's original period—1948–1966. Most people dress in period clothes. It is one of the world's most popular motor race meetings and the only UK event which recreates the golden era of motor sport from the 1950s and 1960s.
There was some opposition to the re-introduction of racing at the circuit, but a numerically strong lobby in the form of the Goodwood Supporters Association helped to lead eventually to approval.
Every year Tesco recreate an entire 1960s supermarket allowing visitors to Goodwood Revival to step back in time and browse the aisles full of 1960s products in authentic period packaging. Tesco’s attention to detail is phenomenal, from packaging, to adverts, window decals, ITAB 3000 tills and staff dressed in 1960s Tesco uniforms, you really do believe you’ve been transported back in time.
This year Huntapac were asked to be on hand with the restored Tesco Beaver wagon as part of the 1960s theme. Gary Cadwell travelled down with the wagon for the three days.
