Celebrating 40 years supply to Tesco

Huntapac Produce Celebrate 40th Year Anniversary Supplying Tesco
On Thursday 31st July as a mark of celebration for Huntapac’s 40th year anniversary of supplying Tesco they organised a visit to the Tesco head office in Cheshunt for a product give away day followed by an evening meal at The Goring hotel in Central London.
Steven Kay, Stephen Shields, Rachael Bitters, William and Henry Hunter all travelled down to the head office for a product give away day where they handed out 800 stew packs of vegetables and 600 packs of vegetable crisps, one of the new and very popular ‘Roots’ products. Huntapac also had a free prize draw with an iPad Mini, iPod Touch and an iPod Nano all to be given away for the top 3 prize drawers. By 1 o’clock all the stew packs and vegetable crisps had vanished so Huntapac picked out 3 lucky winners for the prizes, they then held a presentation for the top 3 winners. Later on that evening Huntapac held a meal at The Goring, one of London’s finest hotel and restaurants.
The drinks reception started at 7pm where some of Tesco and Huntapac’s managers and directors arrived including Huntapac’s Managing Director Warren Hunter and his two son’s William and Henry. The meal began with a speech from Warren Hunter as he reflected on dealing with Tesco for so many years through generations of the family and also what the future can promise, the meal then commenced after a gift was awarded to Kris Comerford, Category Manager at Tesco Head Office.
Also as a mark of celebration, in September 2013, Hunatpac Produce Ltd acquired an original early 1960's Leyland Beaver 680 truck, complete with a York twin axle box van. The eight month restoration project was completed in time to celebrate Huntapac's 40 year partnership with Tesco. The vehicle is now part of the William Hunter and Huntapac commercial vehicle collection.
